At Ken Ganley Subaru North Olmsted, it's quite satisfying serving the Subaru brand as well as those values underpinning the marque. One of the main inherent qualities rests with community outreach, as well as environmental causes and animal welfare.
To the latter distinction, the Subaru Loves Pets initiative garners much attention throughout the nation and here in North Olmsted for the details involved.
Annual 'Make a Dog's Day' Held on Oct. 22
This past Oct. 22, the Subaru brand and affiliated dealerships hosted the fifth annual National Make a Dog's Day event.
In this endeavor, healthy dogs that remain in local Elyria shelters or those more aged and infirmed have a day dedicated to their care. While the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) estimates that nearly 6.3 million companion animals are surrendered to shelters each year, this annual event seeks to deliver a variety of benefits and awareness of the plight of abandoned pets:
- Subaru dealerships host in-person and virtual pet-adoption dates.
- The 'underdog' population of aged, ailing and physically challenged dogs gets special attention toward finding caring homes.
- Pets adopted through Subaru dealership events secure a $100 donation to a partner shelter.
- Additionally, Subaru contributes $20 to the ASPCA for the purchase of Subaru Pet-Friendly Accessories.
In many ways, patronizing Subaru dealerships nationwide and within the local Parma area allow for greater understanding and succor provided lonely dogs still shelter-housed. Despite the unconditional love that dogs display, getting involved whether by brand or as an individual WILL make a difference.
As a Subaru dealership, we encourage our Cleveland client base to adopt an 'underdog' or other pet toward instilling love and care. The less fortunate in our world deserve to be held.
